School History

Founded in 1915 on land donated by the Park Place Development Company, Park Place Elementary began as a one-room school in the then-independent City of Park Place. The campus was renovated in 1925 and became part of Houston ISD when Houston annexed the area in 1927 
Wikipedia. By the 1930s, the school had expanded to a larger two-story red-brick building, reflecting the growing community it served. In the early 2000s, a modern facility opened just north of the original site, preserving its historic address while offering updated space for future generations. Today, Park Place Elementary remains a beloved neighborhood institution, known for its multicultural spirit and longstanding ties to southeast Houston.
