Program Overview

At Park Place Elementary, we are proud to be a Title I school, which means we receive extra federal funding to ensure all students—no matter their background—have the resources and support they need to succeed. These funds help us strengthen reading and math instruction, provide additional learning opportunities, and make sure our classrooms are equipped with the tools students need to learn. Title I also supports schoolwide improvement efforts and gives parents meaningful ways to be involved in their child’s education.

Through Title II funding, we invest in our teachers, principals, and school leaders by offering high-quality professional development. This helps us provide excellent instruction and ensures every student has access to effective educators.

Title IV funding allows us to give students a well-rounded education, keep our school safe and supportive, and use technology in creative ways to improve learning. Together, these programs help us create a positive, challenging, and equitable learning environment—because at Park Place, we believe every child can achieve great things.

Parent and Family Engagement

Park Place Elementary is committed to creating strong school–family partnerships—because when parents are involved, students succeed. The Parent & Family Engagement Policy is part of this effort, especially under Title I programs. It helps ensure families have meaningful opportunities to participate in their child’s education—whether that's learning how to support homework success or joining family-focused workshops. Families are invited to join in planning meetings and share feedback through surveys, helping shape school initiatives and support services.

Every year, HISD reviews and updates its Engagement Policy to make sure it continues to meet community needs and stays current with best practices. At the school level, campuses work closely with parents to develop school-specific plans—defining how they’ll keep families informed, involved, and empowered to contribute to a positive learning environment.
